The Iraqi Smart Cities Forum is the first platform of its kind in Iraq, bringing together international experts, government institutions, and private sector leaders to discuss the latest innovations and solutions in smart city development. The forum emerged from the urgent need to modernize Iraq’s urban infrastructure in line with global standards, leveraging cutting-edge technologies to achieve sustainable development, improve quality of life, and enhance urban service efficiency.
The forum aims to identify the needs of key government institutions such as the National Investment Commission, New Cities Implementation Authority at the Ministry of Construction and Housing, Communications and Media Commission, and the Central Bank of Iraq, while also highlighting the potential of the Iraqi private sector in designing, constructing, and managing smart cities according to international standards. Additionally, the forum focuses on studying leading global models and successful case studies to ensure the development of modern Iraqi cities that integrate innovation, technology, and sustainability.
